Product Use
The seawater-specific bidirectional sealing flanged butterfly valve is suitable for pipelines conveying seawater in coastal areas as well as in industries such as power generation, nuclear power, petroleum, chemical engineering, environmental protection, and seawater desalination. It is used for cutting off and regulating the flow of media. The disc of this series of butterfly valves features a double-plate flow design, which ensures both structural strength under dynamic water flow impacts and low head loss. The body material is either nickel-chromium alloy cast iron or nickel-chromium alloy ductile iron, offering excellent resistance to seawater corrosion.
Product Features
·The valve body is made of nickel-chromium alloy cast iron, which boasts excellent castability, high strength and hardness, and excellent resistance to seawater corrosion. It is also highly cost-effective and particularly well-suited for manufacturing large-diameter seawater valves.
·The valve features a double-eccentric design with a self-tightening function that ensures tighter closure as the valve is closed further, providing reliable sealing performance. Once opened, the valve disc is completely disengaged from the sealing surface, thereby protecting the sealing surface from damage.
· The valve disc adopts a double-plate truss flow-through structure, featuring low flow resistance, high strength, and excellent vibration resistance.
· The valve bearings are made of copper alloy, featuring low friction resistance during operation, high load-carrying capacity, and excellent resistance to seawater corrosion.
·The valve features bidirectional sealing capability and is not restricted by the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline during installation. (If only unidirectional medium control is required, installation should prioritize the direction that favors sealing.)
·Anti-seawater corrosion coating: The inner and outer surfaces of the valve are coated with an epoxy resin coating process, with a coating thickness ≥ 250 μm, to prevent dirt adhesion and microbial growth. Alternatively, a heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating ZF101, resistant to seawater corrosion, can be used according to customer requirements.
