Structural features
According to the control system, they are classified as: weight-activated locking type (S) and weight-activated automatic pressure-holding type (B).
It mainly consists of four components: the valve body, the actuator mechanism, the hydraulic station, and the electrical control box.
The valve body itself consists of components such as the valve body, butterfly disc, valve shaft, and sealing assembly.
The transmission mechanism primarily consists of interconnected and transmitting components such as hydraulic cylinders, rocker arms, support side plates, heavy hammers, levers, and locking cylinders. It serves as the main actuator for opening and closing valves using hydraulic power.
The hydraulic station comprises components such as an oil pump unit, manual pump, accumulator, solenoid valve, relief valve, flow control valve, shut-off valve, hydraulic manifold block, and oil tank. All valve bodies adopt a horizontal structure.
The valve shaft can adopt either a long or short shaft structure.
In a heavy-hammer-type automatic pressure-holding system, the accumulator serves to compensate for system pressure.
In the heavy-hammer pressure-holding and locking system, the accumulator serves to compensate for system pressure and unlock the locking cylinder.
The transmission hydraulic cylinder is equipped with a quick-close time adjustment valve, a slow-close time adjustment valve, and adjustable valves for both quick and slow closing angles.
The manual pump is used for system commissioning and for opening and closing valves under special operating conditions.
The hydraulic station, the electrical control box, and the valve body can be installed either as a single unit or separately. Typically, they are installed as a single unit.
The flow control valve is used for adjusting the valve opening time.
The control characteristics of solenoid directional valves in hydraulic systems are generally of the normally-closed type.
That is When the solenoid valve is energized, the butterfly valve opens; when de-energized, the butterfly valve closes. The reverse configuration works in the opposite manner: when the solenoid valve is de-energized, the butterfly valve opens; when energized, the butterfly valve closes. Conventionally, standard solenoid directional control valves are of the direct-action type. If a reverse-action type is required, this should be specified at the time of order placement.
When arranged horizontally, the transmission mechanism is typically installed in the forward direction. However, when space constraints at the installation site require it, a reverse installation—where the transmission unit is located on the opposite side of the valve body—can also be adopted according to user requirements (see Figures 1–2).
