Structural features
According to the control system, they are classified into conventional accumulator type (X) and accumulator-type locking type (XS).
It mainly consists of four components: the valve body, the actuator mechanism, the hydraulic station, and the electrical control box.
The valve body itself consists of components such as the valve body, butterfly disc, valve shaft, and sealing assembly.
The transmission mechanism primarily consists of interconnected and transmitting components such as hydraulic cylinders, rocker arms, support side plates, heavy hammers, levers, and locking cylinders. It serves as the main actuator for opening and closing valves using hydraulic power.
The hydraulic station includes components such as an oil pump unit, manual pump, accumulator, solenoid valve, relief valve, flow control valve, shut-off valve, hydraulic manifold block, and oil tank.
The manual pump is used for system commissioning and for opening and closing valves under special operating conditions.
The flow control valve is used for adjusting the valve opening time.
The transmission hydraulic cylinder is equipped with a quick-close time adjustment valve, a slow-close time adjustment valve, and a slow-close angle adjustment valve.
In the system, two accumulators serve as backups for each other and provide the primary power source for valve actuation.
The valve shaft can adopt either a long-short shaft structure.
Generally, a horizontal arrangement is adopted; however, a vertical arrangement can also be used upon user request.
The hydraulic station, the electrical control box, and the valve body can be installed either as a single unit or separately. When a vertical arrangement is adopted, all components are installed separately.
The control characteristics of solenoid directional valves in hydraulic systems are generally of the normally-open type.
That is: When the solenoid valve is energized, the butterfly valve opens; when the solenoid valve is de-energized, the butterfly valve closes. Conversely, if the system operates in reverse—meaning that when the solenoid valve is de-energized, the butterfly valve opens, and when it is energized, the butterfly valve closes—this is referred to as a reverse-action type. Conventionally, the standard solenoid directional control valves are of the forward-action type; if you require a reverse-action type, please specify this at the time of ordering.
When arranged horizontally, the transmission mechanism is typically installed in the forward direction. However, if site space is limited, a reverse installation—where the transmission unit is located on the opposite side of the valve body—can also be adopted according to user requirements (see Figures 7–8).
