The hydraulic butterfly valve for turbine inlet water is a new product developed by our company after absorbing and digesting the structures of advanced foreign products and conducting market research in the domestic Chinese market, in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 14478, "Basic Technical Specifications for Inlet Valves of Large and Medium-sized Hydro Turbines." The entire equipment comprises an upstream extension pipe, a hydraulic butterfly valve for turbine inlet water, an inlet valve expansion joint, a downstream extension pipe, a bypass pipeline, a control valve for the bypass pipeline, a maintenance valve for the bypass pipeline, an air valve, and other components. It is an ideal device for isolating or connecting media in pipeline systems at hydropower stations.
Product Use
· When the hydro-turbine unit experiences an emergency runaway, the hydraulic butterfly valve at the inlet will be rapidly closed to protect the safety of the unit.
·In a hydropower station with multiple units operating on a single pipeline, when one unit requires maintenance due to a fault, the hydraulic butterfly valve upstream of that unit can be closed to carry out the repair work without affecting the normal operation of the other units.
· When the unit is shut down for an extended period, closing the hydraulically operated butterfly valve at the inlet can reduce unit creep and shorten startup time.
Product Features
·The valve body and the gate are formed by casting and welding. The valve body features a frame-type structure, while the gate adopts a double-plate truss structure, providing high strength and excellent rigidity. The inlet and outlet sections feature streamlined or flow-guiding designs, resulting in superior hydraulic performance and a flow resistance coefficient of less than 0.2.
● The rubber soft seal adopts a double-eccentric structure, and the sealing can be achieved using a rubber soft seal, a metal hard seal, or a dual-seal structure, ensuring reliable sealing performance.
·The fluid energy of an accumulator or the potential energy of a weight-driven mechanism actuates the hydraulic actuator to open or close the hydraulic butterfly valve. Whether in an accumulator-tank type or a weight-driven design, the hydraulic system exhibits excellent pressure-holding performance and operates according to a pre-set program, enabling fully controllable opening and closing processes (the hydraulic system can be designed with multiple pressure levels for user selection).
· It adopts PLC control, featuring a simple circuit design, high reliability, and a full range of communication interfaces. It boasts sophisticated human-machine communication capabilities and self-diagnostic functions for faults. Through the electrical control cabinet, operators can perform local or remote operations, easily implementing interlocking control programs between the hydro turbine unit and the hydraulically actuated butterfly valve, as well as centralized computer-based control.
·The valve closure position is equipped with both hydraulic and mechanical locks. The mechanical lock is used to prevent accidental incidents caused by misoperation of the hydraulic butterfly valve during turbine maintenance.
